LOG OPTIONS
The second part of Elite Keylogger's configuration is Log Options, where users
can enable and manage automatic logs manipulations that can be handled by the keylogger.
This dialog is split into 3 sub-sections for logs e-mailing,
saving logs to shared network drive and sending them to FTP, as well as automatic
logs' clearance and other features that can be configured here.
Let's go through all of the general settings on this screen:
Retry logs sending or saving - If you enabled logs e-mailing or saving to shared network drive,
there are plenty of posisble reasons of failures that can take place: for example, Internet connection
may be unavailable, or network cable is removed, or shared network drive is no longer writable.
That is why this setting provides a simple way to overcome these and other difficulties. You can
specify the interval which will be used to retry theoperation. Please, note: all the errors and problems
will be available for review in the Internal Events Log, which can be accessed via "Options - Events"
button.
Save/Send every - This is the interval which will be used to e-mail logs or save them to
network drive.
Save/Send if exceeds - If you want to care about free space on your hard drive, this option
in combination with automatic logs clearance may be extremely useful. Specify when Elite Keylogger
should save/send logs depending on their size here.
Send log splitting it into letters of this size - If your mailbox has a limitation of possible
letter size, this is the very place to split big e-mails into smaller ones. You will be getting
several smaller letters instead of a big one. Later, save all of them to the same folder for review
and Elite Keylogger will automatically join them.
Do not send screenshots - Enable this option not to e-mail Screenshots log along with other
logs, as this might result in huge traffic.
Send logs to the following e-mail - This will show you the corresponding sub-section for logs' e-mailing. Enable this option to receive logs to your e-mail.
There are several other fields to fill out, and the most important one is surely the mailbox to receive
the logs to and SMTP host. If you doubt which SMTP host should be used, you should ask our Wizard to
automatically configure this setting: just press the "Wizard" button and input the e-mail address that you
want to receive the logs to. The Wizard will automatically find the correct SMTP host for this mailbox.
Save logs to network drive - This will show you the corresponding sub-section. Enabling this option you may save the logs to shared network drive
automatically, which is really convenient if you want to read them in the LAN and not to receive them
to your mailbox. Don't forget to specify the address of the network drive, as well as login and password
if the path is password-protected. Note that the user login you will use should have system rights to
be able to create files.
Send logs to the following FTP server - This will show you the corresponding sub-section for sending logs to FTP.
Automatically clear all logs - This is one of the most useful features, it enables automatic logs
clearance. Depending on your choice here, logs can be cleared by time, by size, and after they are successfully
sent to your mailbox.
Don't forget to "Save" the changes you made.
